What Is the PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Route to Advanced Project Delivery

The PRINCE2 Practitioner (PRINCE2-P) certification validates your ability to apply and tailor the PRINCE2 method to the needs of a real project, and PRINCE2 Practitioner certification training in Brussels helps you reach that standard with confidence. Awarded by PeopleCert on behalf of AXELOS, it is the advanced level of the PRINCE2 qualification scheme and the highest standard PRINCE2 credential, sitting above Foundation. The current version is the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), which introduces the People capability, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile and sustainability considerations. The Practitioner exam is open book and scenario based, testing judgment and tailoring rather than recall across nine syllabus areas. This credential is designed for practising and aspiring project managers who already hold PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP or CAPM, and want to prove they can run PRINCE2 projects independently. In Brussels, where EU institutions, consultancies and financial services firms run governance-heavy portfolios, it is a clear signal of structured delivery capability. Train with Invensis Learning and move from Foundation knowledge to a globally recognised Practitioner credential on a clear, supported path.

Invensis Learning is a Peoplecert Accredited Training Organization (2778) in Brussels, approved to deliver official PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification training using accredited courseware and standards.

What is PRINCE2 Practitioner and who is it for?

PRINCE2 Practitioner validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 principles, practices and processes to a given project scenario. Awarded by PeopleCert on behalf of AXELOS, it is designed for practising and aspiring project managers who want to run PRINCE2 projects independently.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner certification?

You need PRINCE2 Foundation certification, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. There is no formal work experience requirement, though the credential is designed for those working in or moving into project management roles.

How long is the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification valid?

PRINCE2 Practitioner is valid for three years. You can renew it by retaking and passing the Practitioner exam, by completing continuing professional development through a PeopleCert MyAxelos subscription, or by passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

Is PRINCE2 recognised internationally as well as in Belgium?

Yes. PRINCE2 is recognised globally, with particular strength in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Commonwealth countries. PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries, so the credential travels with you across sectors and borders.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 Practitioner training cost in Brussels?

Training is usually bought as a combined course and exam package, with fees varying by format and provider. Invensis Learning quotes prices in euros on request, and the PeopleCert exam fee varies by region and channel. Request a quote for current Brussels pricing.

The fee typically includes accredited PRINCE2 7-aligned courseware, instructor-led sessions, scenario-based practice, open-book exam technique, mock questions and learner support. Confirm exam-voucher inclusion when you enrol.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam is open book, meaning the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted. It uses scenario-based objective questions that require analysis and tailoring rather than recall, based on the PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, and you have 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes) to complete it. It is delivered online through PeopleCert OnVUE proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What is the passing score for PRINCE2 Practitioner?

You need 60% to pass, which is 42 out of 70 marks. Because the exam is scenario based, focus on applying and tailoring the method across the syllabus rather than memorising content.

What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

You can resit the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam through PeopleCert; a reexamination fee applies. Our scenario-based practice and open-book technique are designed to prepare you thoroughly, and our team can guide you on rebooking. Ask an advisor about resit support.

Which edition of PRINCE2 does the exam cover?

The exam is based on the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), published by PeopleCert and AXELOS. PRINCE2 7 introduced the People capability, renamed Themes to Practices, and integrated agile and sustainability considerations.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PRINCE2 Practitioner training?

The training covers all nine syllabus areas: the seven principles, seven practices and seven processes, plus key roles, people management, sustainability and ESG, digital and data management, effective communication, and tailoring, all applied to project scenarios.

Can a Foundation holder move straight to Practitioner?

Yes. PRINCE2 Foundation is the most common route into Practitioner, and this course builds directly on that knowledge. If you hold an accepted equivalent such as PMP or CAPM instead, you also meet the prerequisite.

Are practice questions and mock scenarios included?

Yes. The programme includes scenario-based practice, sample questions and open-book exam technique so you learn to navigate the manual efficiently under timed conditions and apply tailoring with confidence.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7 Practitioner syllabus and the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects 7th Edition manual from PeopleCert and AXELOS.

How long is the PRINCE2 Practitioner training?

The Practitioner programme runs for 16 hours of training, typically delivered as two full days or four half-days. It covers all nine syllabus areas through scenario-based learning and open-book exam technique.
