What is the format of the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

The Assessor exam has 8 questions, each worth 10 marks, for a total of 80 marks, completed in 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is open book: only the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide and the COBIT Process Assessment Model are permitted.

What is the passing score for the COBIT 5 Assessor exam?

The pass mark is 50%. You must achieve 40 marks or more out of the 80 available. Because questions require analysis and professional judgement in realistic scenarios, broad mastery of the PAM matters more than memorisation.

How is the COBIT 5 Assessor exam delivered?

The exam is delivered by PeopleCert, either online proctored through the OnVUE system (available 24/7) or at authorised test centres. You can sit it from home, office or a test centre, whichever suits you.

Which materials are permitted in the exam?

Only two references are permitted: the COBIT 5 Assessor Guide: Using COBIT 5 and the COBIT Process Assessment Model. No other materials are allowed, so efficient navigation of these documents under timed conditions is a key exam skill.
