    What is the format of the SIAM Foundation exam?

    It is a closed-book, multiple-choice exam with single-answer questions, based on the EXIN SIAM Foundation Examination Specification and the Scopism SIAM Body of Knowledge.

    How many questions are on the SIAM Foundation exam?

    The exam has 40 multiple-choice questions, to be completed in 60 minutes (one hour).

    What is the passing score for the SIAM Foundation exam?

    65 per cent. You must answer at least 26 of the 40 questions correctly to pass.

    Where can I take the SIAM Foundation exam?

    Online through EXIN's proctored exam system, or at an EXIN accredited test location. The exam is often arranged through your training provider as part of a training and exam bundle.

    What topics does the SIAM Foundation exam cover?

    Seven topic areas: introduction to SIAM, the implementation roadmap, roles and responsibilities, SIAM practices, processes to support SIAM, challenges and risks, and SIAM alongside other practices.

    What if I do not pass the exam first time?

    You can re-sit the SIAM Foundation exam. Re-sit fees and policy are set by EXIN, so confirm the current terms when you register. Our mock exams and practice questions are designed to help you pass with confidence.

    What will I learn in the SIAM Foundation course?

    You learn SIAM concepts, the three-layer model, the implementation roadmap, SIAM roles, cross-provider processes, practices and tooling, common challenges, and how SIAM aligns with ITIL, COBIT and ISO/IEC 20000.

    Can a beginner take SIAM Foundation?

    Yes. There are no prerequisites, and the course is designed as an entry point. An ITIL Foundation or general ITSM background helps but is not required.
